This project sprouted from an idea my roommate and I had about food waste. Every week we go grocery shopping and unfortunately we didn’t get to eat all of our food before it went bad. We needed a solution to this problem- a way to minimize food waste and keep track of the food we have in our fridge and pantry. I actively collaborated with two other teammates on a four month duration on a project. Our collective efforts and teamwork were instrumental in achieveing the user experience research and design of our app, Conserve. Problem Statement: Food consumers needs organization tools and ingredient recommendations to prevent further food waste and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
